Mrs. Thelma Keith Nichols age 79 of Farmville, Virginia, passed away Thursday April 5, 2012 at her residence. She was born September 19, 1932 the daughter of the late Charlie William and Orpha Watts Keith. She was a veteran of the United States Army. She served as a nurse during her time of service and later as a nurse with the Veteran’s Hospital. She is survived by; her two sons James Paul Nichols and Timothy Charles Nichols both of Farmville, VA, her niece Vicki Lane of Morgantown, NC, nephew Jimmy Payne of Marietta, GA, and her great niece Jordyn Payne of Warwick, RI. She was preceded in death by her; husband Burman Leroy Nichols, her brother Odell Keith, sisters Ellen Louise Cox and Juanita Alsup. A memorial service will be held 2:00 PM Sunday April 8, 2012 in the chapel of Shorter Funeral Home 1905 S. Main Street Farmville, VA. A private interment with Military Honors at Culpeper National Cemetery will be held at a later date. The Shorter Funeral Home of Farmville, VA is serving the family.
