Charles P. Barton, Sr. age 73 of Keysville, Virginia passed away Wednesday January 11, 2012 in Farmville, Virginia.  He is survived by: his wife Betty Barton, a son Charles P. Barton, Jr. of Tennessee, a son son David E. Barton of Texas and his daughter Elizabeth A. Barton of Newport News, Virginia.  He retired from a long stint in the United States Navy. A Memorial Service will be held  5:00 PM Friday, January 20, 2012 at the Abilene Community Center.  The Shorter Funeral Home is serving the family.

Here is an old photo of a young Charles with his family, taken Thanksgiving 1950.  He is in the back row standing next to his brother, Bill.  I send this to you with my prayers for your family in this time of deep sorrow.
