Nellie Glasgow Hodges, 93, of Farmville passed away, Saturday, May 12, 2012 in Chester.  She was the wife of the late Cornelius W. Hodges.

Born, June 6, 1918 in Pittsylvania County, she was the daughter of the late, William B. and Lessie Mae Anderson Glasgow. She was retired as a Clerk with Owen Sanford Drug Store and was a lifelong member of Sharon Baptist Church.

Surviving are two daughters, Mildred Coxton of North Chesterfield, and Peggy
Bowen of Chester, one sister, Gracie Handy of Farmville, four grand-children: Michael Croxton, Marjorie Loya, Timothy Bowen and Charles Bowen, five great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral Services will be conducted at 2:00 PM, Tuesday at Sharon Baptist Church in Green Bay. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 2:00 PM, Tuesday at the church.

Sharon Baptist Church is located at 14 Sandy River Road, Green Bay, Virginia

Take 360 to Green Bay, Turn Right on 696, Turn Right on 612, church will be on your Right.

In this time of sorrow may it ease your pain to know that we are thinking of your family. Nellie was a true blessing to know and count as a friend. She will truly be missed by Sharon Baptist church, the community and my family.
