Anita and Boys, we are heart sick over the passing of Hugh.  He was such a fine man and oh that smile could win anyone.  He is walking the streets of gold, smile beaming brighter than ever, fellowshipping with friends and family and waiting impatiently for each of you. What a wonderful legacy he left for his family.

To the entire French family,
It truly saddens me to have heard of this great loss.  I was privileged enough to meet Mr. Hugh after he found out that we bought the farm at the other end of Frenchs Store.  He told us some good ole stories. He always had a happy go lucky attitude whenever I saw him.  My heart and prayers go out to all of you during this time of grief.  Miss Anita keep that chin up.

To My French family neighbors of many years . I Sharon Langhorne daughter of Lottie Langhorne  . Like to send our family condolences from us all. Hugh French, was one great neighbor he often gave my mom fresh vegetables and some deer meat every year. Plus if he couldn't one of his loving family members would do it. God bless us with some great neighbors . Anita his wife with her caring heart was often giving my mom a love gift when she find out my mom and sister couldn't get around. This gave me much joy too know the French family love us so much. Mr. Hugh French always said : If your mom need anything just let me know. With a sincere looking his face . I can him also telling one of his sons to pull me out of the snow one dark night. It was late but not too them they jump suddenly to help me get out that curve where ice was always left in the one spot. I can remember saying to his obedient son orgrandson anyway it was a French. Hugh don't just pull her out .. He said pull her all the way home and back her in that yard too. So I wouldn't get stuck again. That big tractor could pull too . Guess what they didn't charge me a dime either. Lord knows I going too mis Hugh French my loving neighbor. Who always showed our Langhorne Family much love. I like too tell all his family to be strong in God and remember all will be call back by God and I know Hugh is going to be standing their and God will say job well done my faithfully servant . Hugh love going to church I beleive that was the last time I seen him and he spoke and ask about my mom as always. My mom is a widow now so I feel Hugh knew that God instruct his children too take care of widows and those in need and the French family did that in my eyes. Love you-all and hold your head up high and keep doing what Hugh love. So I can continue too say the Sunnyside farm is the best side, on the Sunnyside. Love you all.
Can you please read this at his service if it's alright with the family . Thank you and may God bless all your heart with peace love and happiness in the name of Jesus I ask this blessing. Amen

A great loss to our community and to farming.  Old farmers never die..they just plant their seeds.
