Aline Ownby

Aline Sadler Ownby , 73, of Cumberland County Virginia passed away peacefully and surrounded by family on October 4,2019. She was born to the late Iva George and Teva Sadler. Aline was preceded by her husband, Jimmy Ownby, this past June. She is survived by her three sons Dennis (Kristin), Jason (Julie), and Michael (Kim) along with her cherished grandchildren Morgan, Jason Jr., Joey, Lexy, and Tennessee. Aline had an admirable career in banking for 48 years until her retirement as Vice President of New Horizon Bank in December 2017.

She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

The family received friends on Monday October 7 2019 from 5:00PM – 7:00PM at Shorter Funeral Home. The service is being held on Tuesday October 8, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. at Jones Chapel Baptist Church in Cumberland.
