Allen "Bo" Fowler Sr.

Mr. Allen "Bo" Hilliard Fowler Sr. Age 82 passed away Monday February 7, 2011 at his residence in Farmville, VA. He was a retired Virginia Department of Transportation Employee with 44 years of service. He was preceded in death by his parents Allen H. Fowler and Ola Allen Fowler, his brother Dan Fowler. He is survived by his wife Marie Garrett Fowler; his sons, Allen H. Fowler Jr and his wife Karen of Buckingham, VA, Thomas Mark Fowler and his wife Teresa of Buckingham, VA, his daughter Sandy F. Yeatts and her husband Kim of Farmville, VA; his two grandchildren Lindsey Marie Fowler and Dan Thomas Fowler; a brother Frank Fowler of Danville, VA; a sister Martha Whitehead of Darlington Heights, VA; numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral Services will be conducted 2:00 PM Wednesday February 9, 2011 at Douglas Presbyterian Church with interment to follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 PM, Tuesday, February 8, 2011 in the Chapel of Shorter Funeral Home, Farmville. The family suggest that memorial contributions be made to the Prince Edward County Volunteer Rescue Squad, PO Box 87, Farmville, VA 23901. The Shorter Funeral Home of Farmville is serving the family.
