Amanda Watson

Amanda “Mandy” Bryant Watson passed away on January 31, 2018 in Henrico, VA at the age of 100.

Mandy was born July 1, 1917 in Surry County, NC, the youngest of seven children born to Asa U. and Della H. Bryant.

Amanda was preceded in death by her parents, 6 siblings, her husband Allen J. Watson, son in law A.W. Payne and step granddaughter Mary.

Survivors include her daughter Lois Watson Payne and step-grandson James and Donald and their families, nieces, nephews and special friends Glen & Julia Scott and Florence Miller.

Special thanks to the staff of Beth Sholom Nursing Home with Heartland Hospice for their compassion, care and love shown to my mother.

A funeral service will be held on Monday, February 5, 2018 at 1:00PM in the chapel of Shorter Funeral Home with interment to be private. Family will receive friends starting at 12:00noon until time of service.
