Anna Womack

Estelle Jacobs Womack , 90, of Farmville, passed away Wednesday, October 29, 2014 at the home of her daughter and son-in-law, Dennis and Judy Thorne. She was well known as a waitress at Cedar Brook Restaurant and in later years, with her husband, Jack, purchased and ran  The Steer Restaurant.Mrs. Womack is survived by her daughter, Judy (Dennis) Thorne of Farmville; son, Jimmy Womack of Hurt; grandchildren, Jamie Womack of Houma, LA and Justin Womack of Barrackville, WV; daughter-in-law, Deana Bennett of Farmville; sister, Joan (Howard) Simpson of Farmville; brother, Guy (Shirley) Jacobs of Carrollton; and two special caregivers, Crystal Johnson and Shaquinta Monroe. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Womack, son, Jacky Womack, daughter, Diane Bailey and brothers, Harold, James,Leo Jr. and Jack Jacobs.

Visitation will be held Friday night, 6-8 p.m. at Shorter Funeral Home. A Funeral service will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at the funeral home with burial to follow at Trinity Memorial Gardens, Rice.
