Mr. Bobbie Leatherwood, 74 of Farmville passed away on Wednesday, January 2, 2013 in Farmville. He was born July 7, 1938 in Farmville, VA to the late Stewart and Maude Lewis Leatherwood. Bobbie served his country in the United States Air Force. He then worked as a bank auditor retiring from the State of Virginia and from Suntrust Bank.
He is survived by his siblings, Ruby Fumea of Blairsville, PA, Mae Goforth (Carl) of Farmville, Ann Goforth of Hampton, VA, Coy Leatherwood of Farmville, Jack Leatherwood (Linda) also of Farmville and Tommie Leatherwood of Powhatan, VA. Also surviving are numerous nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held on Monday, January 7, 2013 11:00am at the chapel of Shorter Funeral Home.
