Bonnie Amos

March 13, 1955 — June 30, 2018

Bonnie Lou Amos 63, was born March 13, 1955 and passed away June 30, 2018. She is the wife of Lee W. Amos Sr. She leaves to cherish her memory her beloved  husband of 35 years Lee W Amos Sr, daughters; Shelly Lee Amos of Cumberland, VA, Desma Rae Amos Birkett (Jeremy) of Chesterfield Va, step son Lee W. Amos Jr of Cumberland,VA, mother, Mary Frances Wright Minnick of Pulaski, Va sister; Margret Banton Smoot of North Carolina, brother: Wallace "Bro" Banton of North Carolina, grandchildren; Allison Nicole Amos, Landyn Lee Martin, Bella Lou Amos, Myles Thomas Birkett, James Easton Birkett, special family and friends Blanch "Aunt Sissy" James, Rhonda Wright, Donna Wright,hHer beloved little house dog Sadie. Bonnie married her bestfriend and love of her life Lee Amos 35 years ago.  She worked in the Cumberland County school systems in the cafetaria, always laughing and carrying on with the ladies there. She was also a mother to their "2 girls", as her and Lee called them, which she took very much pride into doing, always wanting the best for the girls and her husband. She and Lee were home bodies, which may be the reason they were so close. We were never surprised to see them taking a joy ride just the two of them and her dog sadie, just to ride and enjoy the scenery. That was there vacation or time away, thats all the time they wanted away from the farm and kids. She then became "Nanny" as the grandkids started calling her, Landyn her first grandson always said " Nanny makes the best mac and cheese ever, everything Nanny makes is the best"! Her and Landyn were extremely close, she loved her grandkids. No matter when you called or how bad she felt that day if you asked what she was doing "cleaning house, fixing daddy supper", would most likely be her response. Bonnie lived for her family, always making sure they were taking care of and daddy had supper. She will be greatly missed but never forgotten by everyone, her two girls, her husband and the ones closests to her.                     A private service will be held at a later date.
