Carl Goforth

Carl Gene Goforth age 86 of Farmville, VA passed away on Wednesday, April 22, 2015.

He was born in Tennessee on September 13, 1928 to the late Charles F. and Della Webb Goforth. He was a great outdoorsman who loved to fish and hunt he was a member of the Farmville Exchange Club and Farmville Fire Dept. He worked for the Town of Farmville as manager of the water filtration plant until he retired.

He is survived by his wife; Mae  Leatherwood Goforth, 1 granddaughter, 1 great grandson, 2 sisters; Helen Underwood of Pamplin and Sharon Harris of Appomattox.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one son; Donnie five brothers; Clete, Conrad, Cecil, Bud and Ed Goforth.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, April 24, 2015 at 2:00PM at Shorter Funeral Home with interment at Trinity Memorial Gardens. Family will receive friends one hour before service from 1:00PM – 2:00PM.
