Carl Merritt Thompson Jr

Carl Merritt Thompson Jr was born on April 2, 1943 and passed away peacefully on September 13, 2026. He is survived by three daughters; Amy Thompson, Stacey Lewis (Morgan), Alice Patterson (Matt) all of Farmville/Cumberland VA, five grandchildren; Kristen Willis (Cody) of Culpepper, Carly Thompson, Ethan Thompson, Harland Patterson all of Farmville, VA and Corey Tetrault (Chris) of Woodbridge, VA. A sister June T. Wallace of Farmville, VA.

He is preceded in death by his wife Juanita G. Thompson, son Carl M. Thompson III, parents Carl M. and Mary R. Thompson, brother Benny A. Thompson and sisters Alice V. Thompson and Violet Shurt.

Carl M. Thompson Jr worked for Centel/Sprint and retired after 36 years of service and was a veteran of the US Army.

A memorial service will be scheduled at a later date.
