Charles Wood

Charles Elbert Wood, 51, of Farmville, passed away Tuesday, July 28, 2009 in Farmville.

Born in Pearisburg, April 21, 1957, Charles was the son of Juanita Sarver Wood and the late William Elbert Wood.

He was preceded in death by a sister, Joyce Wiseman.

Mr. Wood is survived by nine brothers & sisters: Gina Williams and Dianne Hearn of Farmville, Bill Wood of Ballard W VA, Brenda Hochstetler of Cumberland, Everette Wood, Henry Wood, Bernice Patterson and Lillie Lotts all of Staunton and Nancy Leonard of Brunswick, Md and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 pm, Friday, July 31, 2009 at Mt. Pleasant United Methodist Church, Meherrin. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:30 until 8:00 pm, Thursday at the funeral home.
