Edith Coates

Mrs. Edith C. Coates age 96, formerly of Farmville, VA passed away Sunday May 13, 2012 at Southland Nursing Home Peachtree City, GA. She was born May 24, 1915 in Unicoi County, Tennessee. She was the widow of James W. Coates, and also preceded in death by her son James Ferrell Coates. She is survived by; her daughter-in-law Joan S. Coates, grandchildren; Beverly Coates of Tyrone, GA, David Coates and his wife Elizabeth of Warner Robins, GA, her great grandchildren; Jennifer C. Holley and her husband Dallas of Warner Robins, GA, Harmony Coates of Atlanta, GA, Felicia Coates of Warner Robins, GA, and her great great grandchildren; Savannah Holley and Carlie Beth Holley. A graveside funeral service will be held 2:00 PM Thursday May 17, 2012 at Worsham Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday evening from 7 to 8:30 PM at the funeral home.
