Elizabeth Wade

Mrs. Elizabeth Peters Wade, 85 of Amelia passed away Saturday, April 19, 2014.  She was born June 10, 1928 in Rocky Mount, VA to the late Leonard S. and Mary Barbour Peters.  She retired from the Dress Co. in Farmville.  She was the widow of Daltern Lloyd Wade.  Mrs. Wade loved playing cards, Bingo and going camping with her family.  She was a member at Sandy Creek Baptist Church in Amelia.

She is survived by her children, Jimmy Wade (Belinda) of Ashland, VA and Brenda Foster (Carlton) of Amelia; her siblings, Wayne Peters (Brenda) and Linda Blankenship both of Rocky Mount, VA; grandchildren, Thomas Wade (Jeanne) of Powhatan, VA, Sylvia McGinnis of Richmond and Lisa Adkins (Adam) of Charles City, VA.  Also surviving are three great grandchildren, Rachael Wade and Josh Wade both of Powhatan and Olivia Adkins of Charles City.  She was preceeded in death by her siblings, Aubrey Peters, Shirley Peters and Geraldine Dillon.

A funeral service will be held on Monday, April 21, 2014 11:00AM at Sandy Creek Baptist Church with interment to follow in Trinity Memorial Gardens in Rice, VA.  Family will receive friends on Sunday, April 20, 2014 6:00-8:00pm at the Shorter Funeral Home.
