Mrs. Elsie Shirley Shaw age 84 of Farmville, VA passed away at her residence on Tuesday November 17, 2009. She is survived by her daughter Mary Eda Elliott of Brick, NJ; her son Vaughn Allen Shaw of Long Branch, NJ; her son Brent Alvin Shaw of Farmville, VA; her daughter Brenda Shaw Beiler of Rice, VA; her daughter Margaret Eileen Greenwood of Little Silver, NJ; eight grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren; and her sister Jane Lee of Patterson, NJ. She was preceded in death by her husband Louie Alvin Shaw. The family will receive friends Friday evening from 7 to 8 PM at the Shorter Funeral Home, and where funeral services will be conducted 2:00 PM Saturday November 21, 2009 in the chapel with interment to follow in Westview Cemetery Farmville, VA.
