Ernest Pope Sr.

Mr. Ernest Stanley Pope Sr. Age 71 of Amelia County, VA passed away at his residence Monday July 26, 2010. He is survived by his wife of 36 years Dorcas L. Pope; his sons Ernest S. Pope Jr of Amelia, Jason A. Pope of Amelia, Marcus W. Pope of Chesterfield, his daughter Sandra Pope-Lynch of Amelia, Six Grandchildren, and his sister Linda Pope-Bartley of Crewe. He was preceded in death by his parents Roy H. Pope and Essie G. Pope. The family will receive friends Wednesday evening from 7 to 9 PM at the funeral home. Graveside Funeral Services will be conducted 11:00 AM Thursday July 29, 2010 at Trinity Memorial Gardens in Rice, Virginia. The Shorter Funeral Home of Farmville, VA is serving the family.
