Fredrick Kendall Gibbs, 76, of Burkeville passed away Monday, July 25, 2011 is Farmville.
Born in Norfolk, March 10, 1935 to Estelle Gibbs, he was an employee of Kynite Mining.
Survivors include his children; Thelma Lee Gibbs of Johnson City, Tenn., Rose Marrie Baldwin (Albert Dale) of Charlotte Court House, William Roark (JoAnn) of Butler, Tenn., Janice Alvarez of Butler, Tenn., Thomas Roark (Virginia) of Morgantown, NC, and Mary Lou Winkler of Butler, Tenn., one brother, and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a step-daughter, Oma Pearl Hardin.
Graveside services will be held at 10:00 AM, Thursday, July 28, 2011 in Pamplin Cemetery.
