Gladys Fulcher

Gladys Orange Fulcher age 88 of Prospect, VA passed away on October 4, 2014 in Farmville after a brief illness. She was born October 14, 1925 in Appomattox County. The daughter of the late Ernest Robert Orange and Bessie Goin Orange. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband James A., Fulcher, a sister; Frances Orange Sanchez.

Mrs. Fulcher is survived by a daughter; Karen Fulcher, of Prospect, a brother; William “Willie” Orange also of Prospect and several nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Fulcher worked many years with Craddock – Terry Shoe Corp and then worked and retired in 1990 fro the United States Postal service as a clerk for 19 years at the Prospect Post Office. She was treasurer of Prospect United Methodist church for 30 years.

A funeral service was held at 12:00 noon on Tuesday, October 7, 2014 at the Prospect United Methodist Church in Prospect, VA with interment at Olive Branch United Methodist Church, Prospect, VA.
