Gladys Patterson

Gladys Horton Patterson, 86, of Farmville, passed away Friday, November 27, 2009 in Chesterfield.

She was preceded in death by her husband, William Paul Patterson and parents, Wyllie Lafayette Horton and Lola Mae Smyth Horton and is survived by four daughters; Nancy Payne and their husbands; Nancy and Tommy Payne, Connie and Bubba Dandridge and Janet Patterson all of Powhatan and Doris Hardison of Richmond. two sons, William Paul Patterson, Jr. and wife, Debra of Raleigh, NC and George L. Patterson of Farmville, one sister, Ruth Asal Southall of Farmville, eight grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, a devoted niece, Frances Combs and many other nieces and nephews.


The family will receive friends Monday Evening from 6 to 8 PM at the Shorter Funeral Home, Farmville, VA. Funeral Services will be conducted at 11:oo am, Tuesday, December 1, 2009 in the funeral home chapel. Interment will follow in Trinity Memorial Gardens.
