Helen Booker

Helen Gertrude Mills Elliott Booker age 97 of Farmville, Va. passed away on Monday, March 14, 2016.  She was born on October 6, 1918, to the late James and Nannie Mills.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Scott Booker.  She is survived by a sister, Hilda Reese and a brother, Billy Mills.  Also, her children Charles Elliott (Betty) of Appomattox, Va., Nancy E. Mckay of Hampden Sydney, Va. and Henry Scott Booker (Barb) of Orange, Texas.  Five grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and two great-great grand daughters.  A funeral service will be on Wednesday, March 16th at 11:00 a.m. in the Prospect United Methodist Church with interment in the church cemetery.  The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 6:00 to 9:00 at Shorter Funeral Home.  Shorter Funeral Home is serving the family.Donations can be made to Prospect United Methodist Church in her honor.
