Ida Harvey

Miss Ida Harvey, 93, of Darlington Heights, died Wednesday, Dec. 30, 2009 in Farmville.

She was born in Appomattox County, April 23, 1916 to the late Chapman Irby and Mattie Baker Harvey. She was retired from Kyanite Mining Corporation and was a member of Spring Creek Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents, her twin sister, Emilie H. Bryant, sister, Terrell H. Dunnavant and two brothers, William R. Harvey and Ryland B. Harvey, preceded her in death.

Survivors include her sister, Mae Harvey Blank of Farmville, sister-in-law, Dorothy F. Harvey of Keysville, nieces, Linda B. Berry of Raleigh, NC, Patricia H. Stone of Keysville and Myrna H. Rooks of Richmond and nephews, Harvey B. Bryant of Severna Park, MD. and Andrew S. Bryant of Phoenix, AZ.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm, Saturday, Jan. 2, 2010 in Spring Creek Baptist Church, Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
