John O Blatcher Jr.

John O. Blatcher AKA “Jack” passed away at the age of 89, peacefully in his home. Jack was born on September 5, 1936 in Arlington, VA. Jack graduated from Washington Lee High School in Arlington, VA in 1955. Immediately after he joined the United States Army and completed 10 years of honorable service. He continued to serve his country throughout his life and retired from National Security. Jack was a happy go lucky guy who enjoyed life at it’s fullest. He enjoyed reading, crossword puzzles, football, watching the latest movies and most of all eating.

He was a devoted father and grandfather, a die hard Redskin’s fan and one of the most laid back funniest guys you would ever meet. Jack walked in faith and put his full trust in the Lord.

He was preceded in death by his mother Virginia Kattley Blatcher, father John Oliver Blatcher, sister Mary Frances Blatcher, wife Lucille Stuart Blatcher, grandson Tony Lee Baldwin Sr. and great grandson Bryce Benson. He is survived by his children Windy Baldwin (Chuck), Donald Blatcher, Gary Blatcher, Robert Blatcher, four grandchildren, eight great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren.
