John Mansius Sr.

John Frederick Mansius Sr age 95 of Meherrin, VA passed away on Thursday, March 7, 2013. He was born on April 27, 1917 in Wayne, NJ. to the late Eli and Frederick Mansius. He was a veteran in the US Army Air Corp and worked as a mechanic. He was preceded in death by his wife; Ellen M. Mansius, a son; Jeffrey A. Mansius, and two grandsons’; Jason and Lorne Olszewski.

He is survived by a daughter; Rhonda Smith (Raymond) of Victoria, a son; John F. Mansius (Phyllis) of Bayville, NJ, a daughter; Suzanne Weeks (Danny) of Grace ID; three granddaughters; Jessica Mansius, Sheena Olszewski and Stephanie Olszewski and a daughter in Law; Lorraine Mansius.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 9, 2013 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, Burkeville, VA at 2:00PM with interment to follow in Trinity Memorial Gardens, Rice VA. Family will receive friends at church from 1:00PM until time of service.
