June Odelia (Adams) Warriner Obituary

June Warriner, 94 of Farmville, Virginia, passed away peacefully to join her

Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on December 22, 2025. She is preceded in

death by her husband, Wirt Vaughan Warriner of Farmville, her Mother

Lillian Eva (Adams) Josephson of Farmville, her father Noel Carrington

Adams of Nelson County, Brother William Shelton Adams of Nelson

County, Brother Noel Theodore Adams of Farmville and Sister Ethel (Dean

Adams) Rogers of South Carolina.

June was born in Nelson County, Virginia on June 4, 1931. After the

accidental death of her father, Noel Carrington Adams, Lillian later married

Henry Josephson and moved to Cumberland County. When June was 13

years old, she joined Cumberland Presbyterian Church where she

remained a devoted member for 81 years. She served as treasurer,

Deacon and eventually Elder. She loved her Church and her Church

Family. June worked as a secretary for Home Beneficial Life Insurance

Company of Farmville before leaving to become a housewife and stay at

home mother. During her lifetime she became the primary caregiver to

several of her family members prior to them passing. She also provided

childcare for her grandson Colby and granddaughter Katlyn prior to

preschool. June loved to make dresses, knit, make crafts and travel on bus

tours. When she was able, June assisted the Cumberland County Registrar

at polls on election days.

June is survived by her son Christopher Daniel Warriner (Angie),

granddaughter Katlyn Adaire Boze (Jordan), grandson William “Colby”

Warriner (Kyrsten), step grandson Mark Warriner (Jamey Ingle), step

granddaughter Julie Anne Herrick (Andrew), great granddaughters Carlee

Brooks, Addison Boze, Natalie Boze, great grandsons Landon Boze,

William “Hayes” Warriner, bonus great grandson Ryder Fideli, bonus

granddaughter Mary Florence (Jake) and numerous nieces and a nephew.

A visitation will be held on Saturday, December 27, 2025, from 10:00 AM -

12:00 PM at Cumberland Presbyterian Church, Farmville, Virginia. The

funeral service and graveside service will follow at Cumberland

Presbyterian Church and Church Cemetery. Memorial Contributions may

be made to Cumberland Presbyterian Church or special charity of choice.
