Lecia Jane Keen Meadows, 52, of Burkeville passed away Wednesday, November 7, 2012 in her
home.
Born March 27, 1960 in Tazewell County, VA, she was the daughter of Ines Catherine Cole Keen of Oakwood, VA and the late Dewey Ellis Keen. She was formerly employed as a CNA with Piedmont Geriatric Hospital.
In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents; Charlie and Sara Keen and maternal grandparents, Walter Lee and Myrtle Cole and onne brother, Carlos Ellis Keen.
Surviving are her loving husband of 33 years, Randell Brady “Joe” Meadows of Burkeville and two sons, Joseph Brady Meadows and Jacob Randell Meadows (Deanna) of , three grandsons; Joshua, Danny and Robbie Meadows and two granddaughters, Alecia and Alyssa Meadows, four sisters; Elaine Meadows (Charlie) of Burkeville, Pamela Stanley (John) of Short Gap, VA, Virginia Peck (Johnny) of Oakwood, and Teresa Keen of Lebanon, one brother, Douglas Keith Keen (Melissa) of Keen Mountain and several nieces, nephews and great-nieces and nephews, two ex-daughter-in-laws: Stacey Meadows and Julie Meadows and her loving dogs: Paco, James, Momo and Maggie.
A graveside service will be held at 1:00 PM, Saturday, November 10, 2012 in Sunset Hill Cemetery, Burkeville. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 PM, Friday at the Shorter Funeral Home of Farmville.
