Lindy Hamlett

Lindy Lynn Hamlett age 88 of Hampden Sydney passed away on Saturday, September 12, 2015. He was born on July 14, 1927 in Prince Edward County to the late Coleman O. and Mary Hixon Hamlett.

He was married to Wanda Chernault Hamlett and spent his life farming and working in his community. He is well known as a friend to many and loved by many more.

He served his county by serving in the US Army and was a tireless worker, trustee and elder in College Presbyterian Church. He was active in many organizations, Ruritan Club, Farm Bureau county committee ASC and Odd Fellows.

He is survived by his wife Wanda, Children; Curtis C. Hamlett, Lynn East (Wayne), Margie Agee (Gary) all of Farmville, grandchildren; Sandy Burruss (George), twins Benjamin Agee (Shanna), Kelly Redford (James), great grandchildren; Joshua and  Savannah Redford, Garrison and Emma  Agee.

He was preceded in death by his brothers; Lewis Hamlett, Kenneth Hamlett, Nelson Hamlett, Emerson Hamlett, his twin sister; Christine Hamlett Oliver.
