Louise Rothe

Louise Becker (Brinkerhoff) Rothe, 96, of Cumberland, entered heaven to be with her Lord Jesus Christ on Wednesday, February 23, 2011 at 5:05 AM.

She was one of the eight children of the late George and Theresa Brinkerhoff of Hackensack, NJ.

Louise is survived by her loving husband of over 57 years, Lt. Col Clarence H. "Larry" Rothe, USAF Ret., four children, Russell Sanborn of Beaufort, NC, David Sanborn of Washington Township, NJ, Patricia "Pat" Christian of Mechanicsville, VA and Rev. Carole Anne Rothe Lilly of Forest, VA., one sister, Ruth Schuyler of St. Petersburg, FL., and the seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren with which she was blessed. Louise was also called "Mom" by her niece, Tamalane "Tammy" Kranenburg of Madison, VA whom she helped raise and by many in the community who she also adopted with her love, acts of kindness and prayers.

Louise's dedication to God and long time support of New Life Assembly of God Church in Farmville, VA are well known. She will be greatly missed by many.

Funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 AM, Saturday, February 26, 2011 at New Life Assembly of God Church, Farmville, VA. Interment will follow in Trinity Memorial Gardens, Rice, VA . The family will receive friends from 7:00 until 8:30 PM, Friday at the funeral home and from 10:00 until 10:45 on Saturday at the church
