Louise Wilck

Mrs. Louise Ford Harris Wilck, age 94, of Farmville, VA, passed away Wednesday, January 4, 2012, at the Woodland in Farmville. She was the wife of the late Joseph H. Wilck, Sr.  Mrs. Wilck was born November 21, 1917, at Five Forks, the daughter of Marshall Diuguid Harris and Mary Elam Harris.  She was a Veteran of the Korean War, and served as an officer in the U.S. Army Nurse Corps. Mrs. Wilck was a registered nurse and retired from Longwood University in Farmville, VA. She is survived by three nieces Mary Webb “Mimi” Stout of Lorton, VA; Margaret Webb Thomas of Buckingham, VA; Frances Webb Ford of Forest, VA; four nephews, Marshall Smith, Neill “Chris” MacRae, Roderick MacRae, and John Malone; her brother-in-law Neill MacRae of Virginia Beach, VA; her step-daughter-in-law, Catherine Wilck, of Farmville and children.  In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her step-son Joseph H. Wilck, Jr., three sisters, Eleanor Harris MacRae, Frances Harris Malone, and Edith Harris Webb Steger; and her nephew Howard “Sonny” Smith. A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 PM Sunday January 15, 2012, at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Farmville, VA. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to: St. John’s Lutheran Church Building Fund, 1301 Milnwood Road, Farmville, VA 23901.
