Myrtle Showalter

Mrs. Myrtle Dickerson Showalter age 89, passed away Wednesday June 15, 2011 in Prospect, Virginia. She was the widow of William Harman Showalter. She is survived by her son Bobby Showalter and wife Jo Ann of Prospect, VA, her daughter Alice S. Templeton and husband Murray of Crewe, VA, her son-in-law Gene A. Southall of Farmville, VA; her grandchildren Sherry Clark and husband Kevin of Prospect, VA, Paige Epps and husband Tony of Rice, VA, Gena Southall-Davis and husband Scott of Mannboro, VA, Robert Templeton and wife Michele of Burkeville, VA, Ricky Templeton and wife Terry of Lynchburg, VA, Will Showalter and wife Lauren of Farmville, VA, and Five Great Grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her daughter Pattie Southall, and brother George Dickerson. Funeral services will be conducted 10:30 AM Friday June 17, 2011 in the Chapel of Shorter Funeral Home with interment to follow at Olive Branch United Methodist Church in Prospect, VA. The Family will receive friends from 9:30 AM to time of service at the funeral home.
