Paul Lane

Paul Anderson Harris Lane, 77, of Farmville passed away Saturday, February 4, 2012 in Farmville,

He was born at Carter’s Mountain, Albermarle County, Virginia April 11, 1934 to the late Roland and Louise Young Harris. He was retired as a Railroad Switchman and was a veteran of both the U. S. Navy and the U. S. Air Force.

Survivors include his daughter, Carol Townsend and husband, Tra of Houston, TX, grandson, Zachary Townsend, eight brothers: Shelly Harris (Rose) of Norfolk, Robert Harris (Carolyn) of Farmville, Richard Harris of Windsor, Michael Harris (Goldie) of Dillwyn, Maurice Harris of Roanoke Rapids, NC, Galen Harris (Pat) of North Carolina, Kenneth Harris of Norfolk and Neil Harris of North Carolina, four sisters: Sandra Neal (Charles) of Gastonia, NC, Rosalyn Greenauer (Artie) of Depew, NY, Deborah Simmons of Norfolk and Eugenia Harris Burch of North Carolina. He is also survived by ; Carolyn Harris, Goldie Harris, Yvonne Harris and Susan Harris who took great care of him for several years and who enriched his life with their friendship care and love.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers; Albert Harris, Charles Harris and George Harris and one sister, Noreen Bukavina.

A graveside service will be  conducted at 1:00 pm, Monday, February 6, 2012 in Buckingham Community Cemetery.
