Rita Crawley

Rita Handy Crawley age 69 of Rice, VA passed away on Saturday, August 22, 2015. She is survived by her husband, Earl A. Crawley, two daughters, Tonya Pincus of Knoxville Tenn., Sarah Brooks, one brother, J.R. Handy of Amelia, three sisters, Josephine Alston of Richmond, Joan Hastings (Frank), and Jean Lewis of Blackstone, three grand daughters, Brittany, Alyssa and Caitlyn.

She was preceded in death by seven brothers; Raymond, Curtis, Aubrey, Talton, Douglas, Wallace, Bobby and her parents, Clinton and Betty Handy.

A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, August 26, at 12:00Noon at Pisgah Baptist Church in Rice with interment in Amelia Veterans Cemetery in Amelia. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, August 25, 2015 from 6:00PM – 8:00Pm at Shorter Funeral Home.Donations can be made to Pisgah Baptist Church.
