Samuel Poulston, Sr.

Samuel Lee "Skeeter" Poulston, Sr. 96, of Farmville passed away, Friday evening in Farmville.

He was born in Cumberland County, October 21, 1913 to William and Martha Anne Wright Poulston. He was a retired farmer and a veteran of WWII.

He is survived by his son, Samuel L. Poulston, Jr. of Farmville, daughters: Ruby McAllister of Charlotte Courthouse, Shirley Jamerson of Buckingham, Joyce Robertson of Green Bay and Debbie Lusk of Keysville, fifteen grandchildren and numerous great and great-great grandchildren.

Two sons, Charles Howard Poulston and Tony Stuart Poulston, preceded him in death.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 pm, Monday, September 6, 2010, in the chapel of Shorter Funeral home with interment following in Trinity Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 pm, Sunday at the funeral home.
