Sharon Elizabeth Dedmond Steinke

Sharon Elizabeth Dedmond Steinke, born in Farmville, Virginia, and raised in Buckingham

County, was reunited with her loving parents Curtis Clifford Dedmond and Wanda Dedmond

(White); and her brothers: Roger Dale Dedmond, Curtis Lee Dedmond, and Jimmy Eugene

Dedmond on Sunday, December 28, 2025. She was 58 years old.

A loving caretaker for all her adult life, Sharon worked as a Personal Care Assistant at Holly

Manor and as a Home Health Aide with Home Recovery in Farmville, Virginia. She then

devoted her time and skills to taking care of her husband and her parents.

Sharon had a deep love for reading and gardening. She found peace in spending her time

outdoors, carefully planting flowers and thoughtfully decorating her garden spaces with beautiful

statues that reflected her creativity and care.

She is survived by her husband, Wayne Robert Steinke; her daughters, Jessica Leann Steinke and

Jennifer Lynn Steinke (Cody Herndon); her brother, John Clifford Dedmond (Tina); her nieces,

Laura Beth Dedmond and Grace D. Montrose (Michael); her nephew, Jimmy Lee Dedmond

(Haley Grey); her great-nephews and great-nieces, Tristan, Ryan, Isabella, and Bristol; and her

cousin, Candee D. Marrone (Franco). She is also survived by many extended family members,

including cousins, in-laws, and friends who loved her dearly.

Memorial services will be held at Concord Baptist Church on Saturday, January 10, 2026.
