Victoria Katherine Ash McCormick of Falls Church, VA born September 4, 1946, left our lives on June 21, 2009. She is survived by her daughter, Jennifer Elizabeth McCormick; her grandson Bryan Aubrey McCormick of Blacksburg, VA. Nieces, Peggy McCormick Teague and her husband Clyde, Jr., their Children Heather N., Joshua A., and Trinity V. Teague all of Blackstone, VA; Angela Summerfield and her husband Kevin of Colonial Heights, VA; Johnna Miner and her husband Tommy of West Greenwich, RI; nephews Ronnie McCormick and his wife Debbie of Hopewell, VA;Joey McCormick and his wife Frieda of Richmond, VA; five great-nephews, one great-niece and two great-great-nieces. She was preceded in death by her daughter Juliet Elaine McCormick of Blacksburg, VA; a nephew Stephen Eugene McCormick of Victoria, VA; her father Charles Baron Ash, Master Sergeant U.S. Army of California; her mother Irene Anna Sharpley, Private U.S. Marine Corps. Falls Church, VA. She was a 1969 graduate of Ferrum College and a 1980 graduate of Radford College with a B.A. in sociology and history, with a minor in English, and with a Master's in History. She worked 23 years for the Department of Defense at the Pentagon. Her family will receive friends 7 to 9 PM, Friday November 6, 2009 at the Shorter Funeral Home 1905 South Main Street Farmville, VA, and where Services will be conducted in the Chapel 1:00 PM Saturday November 7, 2009 with interment to follow in Trinity Memorial Gardens 22482 Prince Edward Hwy. Farmville, VA. In Lieu of flowers, Memorial Contributions may be made to the Michael J.
