Walter Goin

Walter Richard "Dick" Goin, 86, of Burkeville went to be with the Lord on Friday, June 10, 2011 after a prolonged illness.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 63 years, Lois Childress Goin, two daughters, Linda G. Fellows of Burkeville and Patricia Faye Force both of Burkeville; seven grandchildren, Michelle Reeves of Appomattox, Chris Goin of Burkeville, Derrick Fellows of Crewe, Brian Baldwin of Crewe, Traci Nicely of Dinwiddie, Travis Fellows of Richmond and Monica Force of Burkeville and three great-grandchildren, Jayson Durham, Joy Durham and Mason Wilson.
Funeral services will be held at 12 noon, Monday, June 13, 2011 in the chapel of Shorter Funeral Home, Farmville. Interment will follow in trinity Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 11:00 am until noon Monday at the funeral home.
