Weldon Smith Covington

Weldon Smith Covington, 89 of Pamplin, Virginia, died peacefully at his home on Monday, April 30, 2018.

He is survived by his nephew, Richard D. Graham of Pamplin and a niece, Ann Dolan, (George) of Buckingham County.

He was retired from Transcontinental Gas and Pipeline, Corp. as a chief operations supervisor. He was a member of Piney Ridge United Methodist Church in Pamplin. He was a master mason for 60 years at Pamplin and Farmville lodges. He was also president and chairman of the board of directors for The Pamplin Volunteer Fire Department for 38 years.

A graveside service will be held on Thursday, May 3, at 2 p.m. in The Olive Branch United Methodist Church Cemetery.
