William Beasley Jr.

William Jackson Beasley Jr.  “Jack” of Farmville, VA passed away on February 1, 2014.  He was born in Farmville, VA to the late William Jackson Beasley Sr. and Marguerite Wood Beasley on March 26, 1941. He retired from Cradock Terry Shoe Corp and was a member of Maranatha Baptist Church.

He is survived by a sister; Georgie B. Layne (Ted) of Farmville, nieces and nephews; Delores Layne Wood (Brian) of Troutville, VA, Connie Layne Rowan (Jeff) of Farmville, VA, Teddy Layne (Holly) of Throcks Community, Peggy Scholls (Wilbur) of Aberdeen, MD and Sonny Southall (Mary Lou) of  Havre De Grace, MD, great nieces and nephews; Griffith Wood “Griff” of Troutville, VA, Jessie Wood of Troutville, VA, Christopher Rowan Sr. (Amy) of Farmville, VA, Freddy Layne, Ryan Layne, Justin Layne, of the Throck Community and one great great nephew, Chris Rowan Jr of Farmville and his numerous friends at the Good Samaritan Ministries in Richmond, VA.

A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, February 5, 2014 at 2:00PM at Maranatha Baptist Church with interment to follow at Westview Cemetery.  Family will receive friends on Tuesday, February 4, 2014 from 6:00PM – 8:00PM at Shorter Funeral Home.
